Just follow the trend and read the charts, that’s all you have to do to make money. There are far more good chart setups that we have money. The buyers yesterday gaped us up and the market close well, with support around $228.25 there is plenty of room for profit taking and entries.

The Buyers felt a little spunky yesterday in the face of IWM’s weakness, bounced right off the T-Line closing up .30 cents. The top 4 leaders in the S&P components were in the Technology and department stores sector.
The ETF – $GLD is getting a little stretched for the swing traders and it is at one of our consolidation markers. UUP managed to close over the T-Line, let see if it as follow through or not.

We are watching the SPY, IWM, DIA, QQQ’s like a hawk for signs of a bullish or bearish change. All 4 are walking a tightrope, with the buyers and sellers ready to attack at any time.
The SPY needs to defend $227.75 – IWM $133.65 – DIA $198.35 and the QQQ’s $125.00
The close yesterday left the bulls still in control but through the chart, you can see the that the bulls may be tiring. Don’t let the bear sneak up on you.
The ETF – $GLD held up well despite the bounce in the UUP chart. UUP even with its relief rally the trend is still controlled by the seller as of yet.

$226.60 remains intact-The bulls were able to defend $226.60 yet another day!
One of my favorite charts is the 3-day chart, when I look at the SPY I still see a chart controlled by the bulls (with a few minor cracks if you look at a couple indicators) with a bullish breakout and a 2 bar pullback that suggest profit taking until support is broken.

The SPY was able to close off its lows yesterday after the sellers had taken what they wanted. The overall chart pattern still suggests the buyers outnumber the sellers, but as I mentioned last week, I am seeing a few cracks in the ice so let’s walk carefully. Keep looking for the good chart setups and profit into strength. $226.60 is a line the bulls need to defend.
