The candle pattern and bullish construction are suggesting the buyers are interested at these prices. BW has been in a long-term downtrend and is now 78% away from the 20—SMA and 17% from the 34-EMA making BW a PINBALL set up. FYI, it was the Pinball set up and the T-Line that made the difference for me. Hobbyist trader to trading for a living.

SPY Showing Bullishness

The SPY is working hard to hold the bullish “W” pattern and keep the momentum after breaking out of the downtrend line. The T-Line is bullish to the 34-EMA, and the 34-EMA is still below the 50-SMA. If the bullishness continues, even with a test of the recent breakout the 34-EMA could be bullish with the 50-SMA. Price has entered the resistance area so I would be too surprised to see a test of the recent breakout.

 

VXX – Is now sliding back now that the market has shown bullish colors. At this point in the VXX, the trend is now bearish.

Considering VRX Over $20.25

A trade I am considering is VRX, over $20.25 VRX should run to the January highs. The weekly chart is in an (RBB) Rounded Bottom Breakout chart pattern with target zones near $31.00 and $41.50. Price action on the weekly chart has crossed up through the T-Line with a constructive bullish pattern. We have VRX and a few others on our watchlist for consideration to buy.

SPY Closes Over The 50-SMA

The SPY closed over the 50-SMA yesterday adding new life to the bull market. Now price needs to hold the 50-SMA, and we need to see follow through. The next challenge will be $271.30. The Volatility vs. price has gone positive on the 1 and two-day charts, but the 3,4 and five-day charts are still negative. Go Bulls!

25% Trade On WFT?

25% Trade On WFT?

I’m looking for a 25% trade on WFT with a breakout of the 200-SMA. WFT has been in a Rounded Bottom Breakout Pattern and looked like it wants to challenge the 200-SMA. Bullishness from yesterdays close could run WFT to about the $3.45 area or about 30%. The WFT chart has recently come out of an Inverted Head and Shoulder pattern, Flagged and gapped. The past ten bars have enjoyed a T-Line Run. The trick with WFT will be getting through the 200-SMA on the daily chart and the 50-SMA on the weekly chart.

SPY • Bullish Team?

The past four bars in the SPY chart have put together a bullish team, now all we need is the follow through the team to get into the game. As I look at a few different charts I have you can see the SPY is so close to the breakout edge but yet it seems the bulls lack the confidence to push the fence down. Over $268.85 the bulls will have the freedom to run and frolic in the field, the question is will they do it?

The QQQ’s and IWM are leading the market and doing a pretty good job, they both still need to test there breakout.

The VXX has shown no sign of fear in the last few days.

AAOI Up 31%

AAOI Up 31%

The AAOI trade has worked well, currently, up 31%, I will close it later today because of earnings tonight, and it’s hitting one of our major sell indicators in a Rounded Bottom Breakout chart pattern. Our GE trade is looking better, The bottom construction as paid off for the chart so far. Still, a few bumps to get over before it pays the big bucks. We bought some GPRO this morning with a 15.5% profit so far. GPRO may have its eye on the 200-SMA

The SPY still challenged by the 50-SMA on the daily chart. Price continues to trade in a narrowing range (looking at a daily chart for the past three-plus months).

THS Printed A Weekly Cradle Pattern

THS printed a weekly cradle pattern and closed over the daily 50-SMA making THS an (RBB) Rounded Bottom Breakout. Friday THS ran to the Dotted Duce indicator and rested. I would expect more rest then a trade to the $50.15 area followed by a challenge of the 200-SMA. With a test and success of the 200-SMA, $62.70 would be the next trade.

SPY • Bullish Engulf

Well, it looks like the Bulls were feeling pretty good about themselves, big Bullish Engulf after a Hammer and off the 200-SMA. I hope they know the work is not over yet. The 50-SMA and $271.30 will require more bulls and more strength. If the buyers can capture $272.30 successfully, they would be above the 23.6 Fib line, a good place to be if you a bull. QQQ’s, DIA’s and IWM all acted very well Friday and the QQQ’s and IWM both closed over the 50-SMA

The VXX chark lost the 50-SMA and looks to be testing the 200-SMA once again.

I Love The Game We Play

I Love The Game We Play

I love this game we play, some days more than others…😊 yesterday Hit and Run Candlesticks closed BAC for 32% and VXX for 23%. Today I might be closing Pandora for a sweet profit. The past few months it has been best to trade both sides of the market (long and short) it also has been a stock pickers market like no other.

The SPY has been producing lower highs but not lower lows creating a tight trading range. The tighter the range, the harder it is to trade, so you traders having trouble believe me you’re not the only ones.

There is a very important price range the bulls must defend ($261.00 down to $254.80) if the bulls can’t defend this area the darn bears will run us down to the $245ish area. Remember not to fight the trend, and if you have questions a trend ask us –Ask Us Here

Several Members Already Short CAT

Several of our members have already shorted CAT, and it looks like below $143.00 they will be well paid. And below the 200-SMA the next strong support is in the $115.00 area. Short-term bearish chart patterns and the south trending moving averages are chipping away. Below the 200-SMA we could see a meltdown.

SPY • 28 Days and 2 Fib. Lines

From the 2016 bullish breakout in the SPY and the February 2018 high using Fib. Lines we can see that the SPY has “basically” been trading between the 23.6%  and the 38.2% retracement for the past 28 days. Our triangle wedge is getting tighter and tighter. Yesterdays close and it looks as if today’s open will test the lower line. The 38.2% Fib line is sitting at $257.70 which is also where the February and April lows found support. Bottom line is the SPY has made three major failed highs and currently below the 50-SMA, with our trending moving averages pointing lower. We all know the market has been a bit hard to trade recently, we also know “above the 38.2% retracement” a chart is not in real trouble. If the buyers can’t put a game together, we will test the 38.2 ($256.70) again.

The VXX still hovering above the 200-SMA, let me know when it gets above the 50-SMA.

UAA is setting up on several time frames, but the weekly is the one that caught my eye. Bullish “W” pattern, Bullish Morning Star, Testing support with success, RBB pattern, Doji continuation pattern. SPY • Let the Traffic Pass

Stay alert and cautious when playing in traffic, or maybe wait until the traffic passes. AAPL beat and pre-market it is trading above the daily 50-SMA, holding the 50-SMA today would be one of the bulls today. We have the Feds report today on top of more earnings, is this the perfect storm or what? So the SPY showed a bit of bullishness yesterday bouncing off our lower green support line. But let’s stay with reality! The 34-EMA is trending below the 50-SMA, and the 50-SMA is trending down. Price is still below our bearish trend line.

The VXX still hovering above the 200-SMA, let me know when it gets above the 50-SMA.
