FB – Bullish Over $171.30 With The Bull Flag

FB – Bullish Over $171.30 With The Bull FlagFB – Bullish over $171.30 with the Bull Flag. FB has seen a nice bullish run with a pullback that is currently holding the $164.30 support line. A breakout of the upper flag line would set FB up to test the recent high and then possibly $180-$190 area. A little bullish help from the market would help – Remember not to force a trade. You don’t work for the trade – the trades work for you.

Eyes On The Market (SPY)

With yesterday’s inside day Doji close it would seem the buyers and sellers are still at undecided on a Bullish Breakout or to continue the trend down. With the T-Line below the 34-ema, I must give the game to the sellers, and the buyers are fighting like crazy. Price the most important player on the field is still below the major trend line and below the T-Line and the Bulls have not broken the Lower High Lower Low cycle. We are keeping our inverse ETF list handy.

Eyes On The Market (SPY)

We did get relief bounce as we thought we would and a darn good one at that. Unfortunately, it did not close over major resistance, so the Bulls have a great deal more work to do. The upper down trend line is still in play for the sellers and price is still above the cl

oud on a Morning Star signal (2-Day) chart. The sellers have the upper hand as far as the market goes as we start the day. There are many individual long trades that look great. But we are going to keep our inverse ETF list handy.

Finding and Trading The T-Line Bounce

Finding and Trading The T-Line Bounce

Finding and Trading The T-Line BounceIn tonight’s e-Learning 8-22-2017 we will discuss the current state of the market, charts and Rick will share a  scan that are tending with a run of 10% and near the T-Line. The recipe for a winning trade is to follow your plan and the best tools for you. We feel a few of the best tools are: Price Action, Candlesticks, Support and Resistance, Trend Lines, Chart Patterns.

Thank you, Ed Carter

For taking an idea and making it work. Ed created the scan for TC2000 and TOS that I have been using to narrow my search and look for a specific chart pattern. Sorry, it’s not the Golden Goose, you still have to do the work.

T-Line Bounce / TC2000

This scan looks for a stock that has been trending for at least a month. In

that time it will have run up at least 10%.  On top of these conditions, it

finds stocks that have bounced up off the T-line in the last 4 days.

Yesterday we mentioned that the SPY might be ready to bounce a little as it kept trying to form a little Hammer. At this point, there is not any kind of reversal pattern so right now we can only see a possible short term relief rally. Careful not to get sucked into the bullish tunnel without the clues.

SPXU – Doji Continuation Pattern

SPXU – Doji Continuation Pattern

SPXU – Doji Continuation PatternSPXU – Closed Friday with a Doji Continuation Pattern, we have found this pattern to be very successful when you add other conditions with it. Such as a breakout of the downtrend line, bottoming patterns like a double bottom or a higher low. 2 or 3-day charts with a Bullish Engulfs. And SPXU is now one of our Rounded Bottom Breakout patterns/strategies. Keep in mind most charts don’t work right away unless you only want 1,2,3% gains and I have never met anyone who makes a living on 1,2,3%  We want to profit more…don’t you?

Trade Updates – Hit and Run Candlesticks

A good trader knows when to back down, lighten up on position, except the fact some days you are better off not to trade, did you know you don’t have to trade everyday? A good trader knows a $100.00 loss can be good – especially when you finally take the loss and now it’s a $500.00 loss. We are proudly in only 3 positions and in NO HURRY to trade until this craziness has stopped. Plan your trading strategy to win!

Eyes On The Market (SPY) Warning

The SPY has broken below the support line holding the lows together and has formed a Bearish “h” pattern. With Fridays close, we have a lower high and a lower low and a Bearish Doji Continuation pattern setup. When you add the short-term oversold, we could see a relief bounce. We see both long and short trade with a ton of chop, keep your fingers away from the blade.

Long Watch List For Next Week

Long Watch List For Next Week

Long Watch List For Next WeekWeek starting Monday, August 21, 2017. Hi, this is Rick Saddler, founder of Hit and Run Candlesticks. Below I have posted 35 stocks that I will be watching for a long trade if the correct setup and market conditions warrant Starting Monday August 21, 2017. We always make a plan and trade the plan; our trade plans are not secret we share them with anyone in the trading room or the Tuesday night webinars.

We do not expect all stocks on the watch list to work out; this is why we work very hard to teach how to enter and exit a trade with proper trade management.

PS… I will be one of the speakers in Chicago at the Chicago Board of Trade Building September 27 – 29, 2017 Hope to see you there.

Personal Trade Plan Is Essential To Trading Wealth

Personal Trade Plan Is Essential To Trading Wealth

(It’s Friday) A personal trade plan is essential to trading wealth and Fridays are a good day to evaluate your trade plan. Do you have a 12-month goal? Do you know how much per trade, per week so you need to meet the 12-month goal? Do you know what trade set ups are best for you? We have found from our coaching that those that live by a trade plan profit more money and have a much higher success rate of increasing their wealth.

Friday is the day we count our money and reflect on our weeks trading. How did we do? How can we improve? Take time today to pause on trading and consider education. Reevaluate your trading goals, are your goals on track?

What a crazy week! We are still holding our shorts and 1 long. I can’t remember the last time I was only in 3 positions. It is a good feeling going into the weekend.

We have closed 31 positions in the past 31-days and a 55.17% win rate. Over the past 180 days, we are running a 68.91% win rate.

Eyes on The Market

In Thursdays pre-market blog we warned everyone and WOW! The Bear really woke up. Yesterday we closed below the 50-SMA in a big way, so I suspect we see some kind of relief rally. I do believe this is going to hurt and there will be more downside and of course there will be minor rallies. There is no shame in sitting on your hands until this market cools down. And cash is a position

ZOES – Pop Out OF The Box (RBB) Pattern

ZOES – Pop Out OF The Box (RBB) PatternZOES – The Pop Out of The Box (RBB) pattern alone with the Bullish constructed bottom and the Bullish candle yesterday suggest the Bulls are willing to push this stock higher. I have 2 profit zones on the trade plan, but I do think the Dotted Deuce could be reached. A pullback into the Buy Box and above $11.85 is what we are looking for. Don’t force trades and don’t be in a hurry.

Eyes On The Market (SPY) Warning

The SPY has 4 very critical numbers that we will be watching –  Above $247.57 would indicate Bullishness and below $247.16 would indicate Bearishness. Then the Bulls would have to attack $248.92, and the Bears would go after $247.16. The last thing in the world the Bull wants is for the price to flirt with the $247.75 low as this would be flirting with a Bearish Blue Ice Failure.

Eyes On The Market (SPY)

The lack of follow through above our $247.25 resistance line suggest the Bulls just aren’t ready to take on the resistance, which begs the question will they be ready before a test near the lower trend line.

I am very concerned about the price action of the ETF (IWM). The chart continues to signs of weakness and could drag us into a correction below the 200-SMA.

Eyes On The Market (SPY)

The Bulls proudly bounced back yesterday closing back over the T-Line printing a Bullish Harami on the 2-day chart. Price also closed headed into resistance and  $247.25 may cause the Bull a little grief. A good Bull chart would be a pullback to a higher low than a breakout out of the previous high.
