TLRD Pop Out OF The Box

TLRD is forming a Pop Out Of The Box pattern while walking to the trending T-Line. The 34-EMA and the 50-SMA are also trending with the bulls. The weekly chart has recently painted a bullish “W” pattern and cleared the weekly 200-SMA. Yesterday we bought TLRD looking for a 20% plus profit. SPY

The May 14, top held the SPY back yesterday as the buyers are trying to find a crack in the seller’s armor. The chart pattern of the last 13 trading days remains mostly bullish. King of the charts (Price Action) still trending above the T-Line and the T-Line is still trending upward. Take a peek at the monthly chart, and you will see a Bullish Morning Star candle pattern. A close above $275.00 would promote a challenge of the March highs and a close be $270.00 would make the sellers happy.

VXX – Price formed a Doji yesterday below the T-Line, as long as price stays below the T-Line fear will not boil.

Bullish Piercing Candle On Support

COUP has produced a Bullish Piercing Candle on Support after a few days of consolidation. The weekly chart shows a perfect J-Hook Continuation pattern with a breakout and a test of the breakout point ($50.70). You can see on the weekly chart COUP has been bouncing off the rising T-Line creating a nice T-Line Run. Above $54.00 we could see a 20% swing

SPY

Trade issues on hold and the market pops. Nothing changes, the chart and price action is where we do our work. The SPY produced a Doji Friday and still using the T-Line and April 18 as support. $275 remains an important area for the buyers to break through. Last week the sellers Evening Star (Daily chart) held the buyers back. Perhaps9 a positive close today will begin the end of the Evening Star action.

IWM a driving force broke out and held its ground last week. IYT slow but held it’s own, above $195.25 could put this vehicle in motion. SMH pulled back last week and its premarket looks a little weak, $102.90ish may be a destination.

VXX – With price trending down there seems to be no fear in this market. Bulls live on another day.

The T-Line once again is supporting price, while price slowly tries to crawl back to the crime of May 14. The battle is really starting to heat up between the buyers and sellers. Buyers want to be above $275.00, and sellers want to be below $265.00. Our short-term Red, White and Blue trend is bullish but hasn’t been strong enough to push price through the seller’s wall.

Weekly Rounded Bottom Breakout on NBR

The weekly Rounded Bottom Breakout on NBR caught my eye before the market closed yesterday. The weekly Red White and Blue indicators have turned up nicely, and the daily chart has been trending. On the weekly chart, I can see an “Inverse Head and Shoulder” Bullish Morning Star and a Flag. The first target zone is about 23% away, and the last one is 115% away.

SPY

The buyers are a bit skittish of the Evening Star that printed earlier this week. Yesterdays bullishness tried to recover but met intraday resistance when trying to overcome the full gap and star. The T-Line and the center peak of the “W” pattern have performed well the last two days as support, so the questions are will it continue to perform. Overall I remain bullish with price action still holding above the 23.6 Fib line of the recent run. Below $270.15 the $267.55 area should get tested.

VXX closes below the T-Line and gives no help to the recent Bull Kicker.

Rounded Bottom Breakout J-Hook

I will be considering TTPH because of the  Bullish Rounded Bottom Breakout J-Hook pattern. Using the (RBB) strategy, TTPH has a potential 40% to the top (RBB) target zone. The past eight bars have formed a J-Hook (continuation) pattern that could push price into the $4.45 area then to the $5.30 area.

The SPY lost a little ground yesterday falling to the T-Line where buyers found a little comfort. Buys stepped in to create a small Hammer candle, today the buyers will be looking for follow through, and the wise trader will wait for confirmation. Confirmation is important because the past three candles formed an Evening Star which could lead to more weakness. Right now I am still bullish on price above $268 and bullish with tons of caution above $265.00

VXX – The VXX drew a Bullish bull Kicker yesterday but still in a hard downtrend so it will be important to see positive trading before trading their Bull Kicker candle pattern.

BYD Painted a Doji Continuation Pattern

Yesterdays close in BYD Painted a Doji Continuation Pattern that also broke out of the Bullish “W” pattern. With about 10% of the February high, we are expecting BYD to breakout at some point and run higher. We will be planning a trade for a 30-40% run over a few weeks time. SPY • Bullish T-Line Run

The SPY is in a bullish T-Line Run that needs a little rest. Now that price has broken out of a bullish “W” pattern and test of about $269.80 would be healthy for the market. There is a possibility that the test might be a bit deeper and closer to the 50-SMA. The last thing you would want if you’re a bull is for price to lose the 50-SMA. As of now our Red White and Blue trend are still intact.

Candle Pattern and Bullish Construction

The candle pattern and bullish construction are suggesting the buyers are interested at these prices. BW has been in a long-term downtrend and is now 78% away from the 20—SMA and 17% from the 34-EMA making BW a PINBALL set up. FYI, it was the Pinball set up and the T-Line that made the difference for me. Hobbyist trader to trading for a living.

SPY Showing Bullishness

The SPY is working hard to hold the bullish “W” pattern and keep the momentum after breaking out of the downtrend line. The T-Line is bullish to the 34-EMA, and the 34-EMA is still below the 50-SMA. If the bullishness continues, even with a test of the recent breakout the 34-EMA could be bullish with the 50-SMA. Price has entered the resistance area so I would be too surprised to see a test of the recent breakout.

VXX – Is now sliding back now that the market has shown bullish colors. At this point in the VXX, the trend is now bearish.

Considering VRX Over $20.25

A trade I am considering is VRX, over $20.25 VRX should run to the January highs. The weekly chart is in an (RBB) Rounded Bottom Breakout chart pattern with target zones near $31.00 and $41.50. Price action on the weekly chart has crossed up through the T-Line with a constructive bullish pattern. We have VRX and a few others on our watchlist for consideration to buy.

SPY Closes Over The 50-SMA

The SPY closed over the 50-SMA yesterday adding new life to the bull market. Now price needs to hold the 50-SMA, and we need to see follow through. The next challenge will be $271.30. The Volatility vs. price has gone positive on the 1 and two-day charts, but the 3,4 and five-day charts are still negative. Go Bulls!
