KHC Rounded Bottom Breakout

KHC a Rounded Bottom Breakout pattern/strategy has presented it’s self as a possible trade. With an Inverted Head and Should chart pattern and a breakout of the 50-SMA and price action leading the way, KHC looks bullish to us. The Bullish Engulf yesterday closed over minor resistance the Dotted Duece and 200-SMA are now target areas. Minor pullbacks are normal and welcomed.

Yesterday the SPY what pushed down to the 34-EMA and the May support line where is found a few buyers hanging out. During the day price action worked it was self up and closed back over the 20-SMA. So far the morning futures are leaning toward the buyer’s side. If yesterdays low holds we are building a nice higher low higher high stair step. Remember it the base hits that count

SDOW ETF and 4-Day Chart

SDOW ETF and the 4-day chart may be opening the door for a swing set up. The pre-market price action has pushed price action above the double bottom and bullish morning star candle signal. We might consider a bullish trade above $17.55 while the safer play would be above $18.45. Above $18.45 would put the trade above the 20-SMA and the downtrend line on the 4-day chart.

SPY • Well Crap

Well crap, another tweet fest has sent the market lower. The 34-EMA or about the $273.50 area has support, but the big question is whether or not the buyers can find ground, if not 50-SMA is sitting at $270.50ish. Below $273.50 puts price under the T-Line on the weekly chart which usually leads to lower lows and chops on the daily chart. My #1 goal today is to manage the trades I already have in place. #2 goal is to protect current profits. #3 goal don’t lose sight of goal #1 and #2.

VXX – Gapping above the T-Line and test the 20-SMA today seems to be in the bag. The end of the day will be the important clue. Who will be controlling the ball in the $33.60 area?

SPY Below The T-Line

It looks as if we are going to open today below the T-Line. The sellers were able to hold us back yesterday from breaking out; the last four candles gave clues that the balance between the buyers and sellers was in question. The SPY may need to pull back to the $274.80 – $273.50 area before it finds enough support to rise again, and only if the buyer is willing to step forward.

Double Bottom, POOTB, Morning Star, Oh My

Double bottom, Pop Out of The Box, Morning Star, PBO Harami and the (RBB) Rounded Bottom Breakout strategy. Sounds like enough conditions to make a reason. GTN is constructing a bullish bottom, and a breakout above $11.80 might put me into the trade with 10-15% target zone. The 34-EMA is trying to cross up through the 50-SMA with the 6-day T-Line Run, about to do the same with bullish follow through.

SPY • Watch Price and The T-Line

A 3 bar top and with a Bearish Engulf suggest a little consolidation and absorption is needed. Because of the price action yesterday there is a good chance we see a lower low in the SPY. From the May 29 low to the current high the 23.6% Fib line is at $276.72 and the 38.2% Fib line is at $275.00.  For about 11 days we have had a bullish T-Line run so a little rest may be needed. We will discuss more the Fib lines in the trading room today.

VXX – Closed with a Bullish Engulf yesterday engulfing a Doji. Price action is still trending down below the T-Line, above the T-Line and we will think about a trade.

GIS is constructing a Bullish bottom with price action now in an (RBB) setup, and the Doji Continuation setup is looking like it wants to challenge the gap, and the 200-SMA twins about $50.00. Warning, earnings are 6/27/18

There seem to be only bulls around hahaha let’s not get too complacent, they are there lurking. All eyes and ears will be all about the FOMC decision today; potentially this could be a market mover or disrupter. Stay focused and trade wise.

MTSI Bullish “W” Pattern Solid Base

MTSI has run from a solid base with a Bullish “W” pattern. MTSI gapped out out a bullish “w” pattern into an (RBB) Rounded Bottom Breakout pattern/strategy then ran to the Dotted Deuce. With 22% to the RBB target area on the daily chart and about 34% to the Dotted Deuce on the 2-day chart. MTSI is being put on out Hot list along with ten other for members.

SPY • Bulls Have The Ball

The Bulls have the ball, and they are acting as if they plan to take across the $280.40 line. Price action has been bullish; the trend looks in good shape with higher lows and higher highs. Unless there is some political unrest or a freaking tweetfest, we should be in good shape. If the sellers take the ball and push the price below $274.80 and the T-Line the 34-EMA would likely see a test.

VXX – (Not much change) The Red, the White and Blue indicator is signaling there is no fear in the VXX chart. Price is in a T-Line run down. The hourly chart is starting show activity; It might be a good idea to keep an eye this thing.

Trade and Make Money Frizzy

Sometimes we get caught up in the let’s trade and make money frizzy, and we forget to take a break and relax, or we don’t know when we should not trade because of personal events. Have you ever plotted out your trading account on a graph? Looks just like a chart, doesn’t it? Take a look at the up trends and the down trends and compare your profit loss trend line with the market. Try looking at the dates on your account trend, does the bullish or bearish trend match up with days or weeks you didn’t feel good or something that made you unhappy? Just think about it. – Rick

SPY Pull Back to the T-Line?

Both Wednesday and Thursday I was talking about easing up on the buying and selling and concentrate on preserving what $$$ you have made. In fact a few times in the trading room I said “You don’t need to make new money every day, some days are about protecting what you have made”  The SPY, DIA, QQQ. And IWM has been very bullish the past seven days, and we feel a little rest is needed. A rest to about the T-Line normal and healthy for the market.

RDN Breaking Resistance with a Bullish Engulf

RDN is breaking resistance with a Bullish Engulf into an (RBB) Rounded Bottom Breakout pattern. RDN’s Bullish Engulf started below the T-Line and closed the 34-EMA and 50-SMA into an RBB pattern. The RBB pattern is one of my favorite chart patterns and has contributed a huge amount of profits to the account. With an excellent risk-reward, I am looking forward to trading RDN. Another buyer controlled day yesterday with price action leading the T-Line. The buyers brought price within .28 cents of our SPY target; it is likely to be tagged today. The next price target will be $280.40 we have raised the support lint to the $274.10 area. Please be reminded not every day is about making money, some days are about preserving what you have made.
