Swing Trade Ideas July 29, 2015

One of Today’s Featured Trade Ideas

VNTV/Long (Industrials)  VNTV printed a bullish morning star signal yesterday after a three-day profit taking pull back, with a breakout of $41.05.  VNTV could see a 5 to $10 run.

I will be covering more on the trade plan (entry, stop, targets) in the trading room at 9:10 AM EDT today. Click here to learn more

Something to think about:
Know who you are as a trader and be your own trader. Do you have the personality for swing, day or long term trading? Stick with the type of trading that fits with your lifestyle and personality. Be your own trader and don’t be a follower. You need to be confident in the trades you execute and this means understanding the trade and believing in the trade. Just because someone else takes a trade doesn’t mean it is right for you.

SPY:  Pending home sales reports 10 AM, petroleum status report 10:30 AM and FOMC meeting announcement 2 PM.  Another full day of reports and, of course, the 2 PM FOMC meeting announcement will be the one that most everybody is listening to.

Yesterday, the SPY formed a morning star signal with a Doji supported by the 200-day simple moving average closing yesterday over the 20-day simple moving average at $209.33.  That was a good start for the Bulls, but they still have a lot of ground to cover just to get back to the breakout area, which they have met with discouraging results in the past.  If the Bulls can manage to close over $210.95 in the next week, then once again, they may have a fighting chance to challenge the breakout area; anything below $210.95 is owned by the bigger bear.

IWM:  IWM closed with a hammer yesterday suggesting the Bulls are moving around.  Now, if only the Bulls  knew how to use a hammer.

SMH:  Bullish morning star signal, so it’s a start.  We need to see follow-through over the T-Line and then over $54.

IYT:  The transports have been here before.  Don’t get sucked in unless we see a close over $150.00.
