Swing Trade Ideas April 6, 2015

Today’s Swing Trade Ideas

VHC/Long (Technology)   VHC is one of my favorite chart setups, the Rounded Bottom Breakout.  You can also see that Wednesday and Thursdays candle was a Doji Bullish Engulf (left right combo) not only at the 50 day simple moving average but at the big three.

More on how to trade VHC in the trading room today at 9:10 AM EST.
Possible entry plan idea:  The buy box is from $5.95 to $5.55
Possible stop plan idea:  A weak candlesticks signal or below 6.13

Good Morning,

SPY:  On the weekly chart of the SPY, there are signs of topping, signs that the sellers are taking control.  I see a
bearish evening star with a double top.  I see lower highs and a sellers Doji sandwich or continuation pattern.  Onthe daily chart is a swing trading trend line which is the T-Line, and it has gone to the dark side of the big three, and the 20-SMA will likely fall through the 50-SMA today or tomorrow unless buyers come to town.  Above $206.28, the buyers will be trying, but I doubt that will be enough.  Price needs to be in the $208 area to make any difference for the Bulls.

The sellers have now bought price below the big three and the 100-SMA, and I think it’s clear they have their eyes on the 200- SMA around the $201 area.

IWM:  On the weekly chart of IWM, price remains quite bullish, still holding above the T-Line.  Unfortunately, last week’s close had a small inside day while the week before closed with a bearish engulf.  On the daily chart, price has done well, and IWM has definitely been the leader.  The question this week is will IWM be able to carry the market and keep us afloat.  Closing above the T-Line and the 20-simple moving average will be important this week.  If the Bulls cannot close over the T-Line and the 20-simple moving average, price will likely bow to the 50-simple moving average.  IWM remains the leader with only one failed high and still closing above the big 3 and the T-Line.

In this current market condition, you’ll find there will be long charts and short charts as well as bullish ETF’s and bullish inverse ETF’s.  There will be many chart setups and choices; remember to stay with what you are comfortable with.
