Good Morning, Profit Traders,

The T-Line™ is a powerful timing indicator!
The SPY bull-bear standoff continues.  Despite the $219.25 line that seems to be keeping the bulls at bay, the bull is still in charge.  Price continues to crawl — and I do mean crawl — upwards. Just in case you have forgotten, I wanted to remind you that the 2 August Shooting Stars are lurking, and they are the $219.25 resistance line.  $217.07 and now the 34-EMA remain a good support area.

The T-Line™ is a powerful timing indicator!
The bull-bear standoff continues.  Looking at the SPY, the bull flexed a muscle or two yesterday, but not enough to close above $219.25.  The SPY chart is very easy to read these days — a breakout and close above $219.25 could free the bull, and a breakdown and close below $217.07 would free up the bear.

Good Morning, Profit Traders,

The T-Line™ is a powerful timing indicator!
Not much change in the overall Bull/Bear picture.  Friday, the price gapped in the SPY closing over the T-Line with a Doji still stuck between $217.07 and $ 219.25.  Over the past week, Financial Service (SX30) and Real Estate (SX40) lead the SPY while Apparel Stores (ix1330) were a drag.  I would say we should just keep doing what we are doing because it’s working.  Trade the charts with good patterns and good risk reward.

CLVS 49% in 20 days

The SPY remains cuddled up between the double top Shooting Star signals and support at $217.07, waiting quietly for the jobs number and a wink from the Feds on whether we’re having dove or hawk for dinner.  We are ready for anything they want to through at us; bring it on!  Over all, the charts have been good for us for the past couple of months in this sideways market with stocks like CSTM, CWEI, OCN, BOOT, CLVS, AAOI, TROX, STX, S, BZH, TRN, SM, AMBA.

Good Morning, Profit Traders,

The T-Line™ is a powerful timing indicator!
For the past 17 daily bars, the bulls have been stuck at the same intersection between the corner of $217.07 and $219.25, and they still don’t know if they want to move a few blocks north or head south for a few blocks.  The Shooting Star sell off is still present and still represents a problem, while a Morning Star is in the making on the SPY (2-day chart).  Trade the charts you understand, and remember the trend is your friend.

Good Morning, Profit Traders,

The T-Line™ is a powerful timing indicator!
The close Friday suggested a little weakness in the SPY, but then again, after two Shooting Stars that formed a double top, what should we expect?  Near-term support looks to be about $215.35 and resistance about $217.95.  A close below $215.35 could send price to about $214.25, which is the 50-sma and the low of August 4, 2016.  The buyers need to come out of the woodwork and find the north side of $217.95 sooner rather than later; otherwise, the sellers will grow in numbers.  The VIX (VIX-X) has put together an impressive bottoming chart pattern, a little follow-though and price could be back to its 200-sma..

The T-Line™ is a powerful timing indicator!

When following candlesticks/price action and chart patterns, one can clearly see the market is not doing very well, and as we all know, major news events will trump everything, meaning, if the market likes what comes out of Jackson Hole, this market could jump and fly higher.  Of course, it could also turn very ugly. Today, it is very possible we have a major news event coming out of Jackson Hole.
We still have an Evening Star Double Top and Support at the $217.-7ish level. This narrow range we have been in tells me ALL traders/investors are waiting for a clue.

The T-Line™ is a powerful timing indicator!
The SPY had bearish follow through yesterday on a failed high from the day before. Previous support has been $217.07ish only time will tell if it remains support. The SPY currently has 2 bearish shooting starts about a week apart, a trader just has to be concerned, (I know I am).
Many of the members have gone to cash or working themselves closer to cash. We all know that Jennet Yellen and Jackson Hole will play a big part in the future market direction and the SMART traders knows not to front run the news.
My friends there are times to be trading like a mad man and there are times to sit back and watch. What time is for you?
The 2 weakest sectors were Healthcare and Basic Materials and no sectors that lead the previous day.

Good Morning, Profit Traders,

The T-Line™ is a powerful timing indicator!
The Bulls were able to close the SPY over $218.90 on a very unfriendly candle.  We now have a Shooting Star that is still active and a double top with what could end up being another Shooting Star.
I think the market will be a bit crazy and unpredictable till we hear the outcome of the Jackson Hole Fed meetings.  It is very hard to be a super bull or a super bear right now.
