Rick’s Featured Trade Ideas

ELNK/Short (Communication)  In the ELNK chart, the daily price has closed below the big three and the T-Line caused by the bearish evening star with a bearish continuation pattern.  On the weekly, there is a bearish dark cloud cover followed by a bear flag and a Bearish engulf.  Price action on the two-hour chart has already failed the T-Line Trend test and the deuces, and the four-hour chart has also failed the T-Line Trend test and is getting ready to test the deuces.

H&R members and the trading room knew about CHK on September 15.

SPY:  Last week Price failed at the 34 EMA gapping down Friday and closing at $195.45 and below the T-Line.  The T-Line is also running below the 34 EMA and the 34 EMA is running below the 50 SMA.  The picture is very clear that the sellers are in charge.  The candlestick price action of Thursday and Friday also suggest that the Bulls have very little strength.

IWM:  Outside of minor relief rallies, the bears are still steering the course for IWM.
SMH:  SMH is in the process of a classic blue ice failure.
IYT:   IYT’s having trouble with the sellers downtrend line, also finding itself in a blue ice failure pattern.
VXX:   Finds itself in an overall bullish pattern as we have stated for the last couple weeks.  The recent correction to the 50-day simple moving average found support which gaps and closes over the 200 SMA and the T-Line.  This gap was a bit overzealous, and we’re likely to see a little consolidation today, but remember, the S&P 500 short term futures VXX is a bullish chart.
