Rick’s Featured Trade Ideas

AAPL/Long (Technology consumer electronics)  Many of our members have profited on the AAPL short call about nine days ago.  Yesterday I went long on AAPL because of the bullish piercing candle.  $115.25 will be crucial for AAPL.

SPY:  The sellers have pulled the SPY back to the bullish “W” breakout area where the buyers were able to create support, closing yesterday with a bullish engulf.  Price closed below the T-Line yesterday and still well within a downtrend channel. The buyers need to break us out of the sellers channel and above the T-Line; this will put the buyers in control of their own trend.  I still see a great deal of resistance that the buyers need to work through.  If the buyers can put together a game to close over $207.30, then the sellers may run for the hills.  If not, the buyers may be running for the hills.

IWM:  A Doji Bullish Engulf coming from a support line, the $117.00 area is likely.
SMH:  The short-term rally may be underway with the bulls finding support near the bullish “W” breakout area.
IYT:  Not good for IYT to have slid back below the 50-day simple moving average, but yesterday IYT did close with a bullish hammer.  It’s up to the buyers to do their job.
S&P VIX Short-Term Futures VXX:  The 50- and the 200-simple moving averages proved to be too much resistance for VXX pushing it back down to the T-Line for a 10.06% pullback.
