Swing Trade Ideas July 16, 2015

One of Today’s Featured Trade Ideas

USAT/Long (Technology)  USAT looks to have the potential to get near the $5 area with an impressive chart pattern starting with the Doji on June 30, and notice the bull kicker on July 10.  Price is now broken out of the 2015 highs pushed by a Doji continuation pattern a few days ago.

Something to think about:
Rule #17 – Sell into strength

SPY:  Yesterday the Bulls were able to maintain their strength closing above the 50-day simple moving average with the Doji.  I see that the Bulls are even trying to stir up some action this morning, currently up over yesterday’s close.  Remember, it’s about the close at the end of the day that matters.  Here’s just a couple of things I think we should keep our eyes on.  First, we have not overcome the bearish downtrend line overhead.  You can see it on a daily chart, but if you put your chart in two- or three-day mode, you can see the bearish head and shoulders forming.  These are just a couple of things that we will be watching and monitoring as the trading hours go by.  $211.46 and $213.20 will be important levels for the Bulls to take on and the Bears to defend.

IWM:  You can see it on the daily chart, but the two-day chart is extremely clear with the drawing of a bearish head and shoulders.  The question is, can the Bulls overcome the head and shoulders?  And of course they can if they can keep their mojo going.  $127.15 and above $129.00 are       important bull/bear levels.

SMH:  SMH is still trying to put a game together, and if Intel can hold together, this will help SMH tremendously.

IYT:  Watching IYT closely and waiting for a bullish break of the downtrend line.
