Swing Trade Ideas November 5, 2015

Rick’s Featured Trade Ideas

BBBY/Long (Retail)  BBBY  – October produced a Bullish constructed bottom with a filled rally the last few days, and it took us over the big three and the 50-day simple moving average that included a Doji continuation pattern.  Yesterday’s weakness and lower close may offer a PBO entry.  Let’s watch for a buy signal over the next couple of days.

SPY:  The SPY held its bullish line yesterday closing above the T-Line, even though the close was less than the open down by 30% or $.64.   The volume of late on the SPY is suggesting that this 20-plus day rally may be losing some of its stem, meaning a little pullback might be healthy to attract new buyers.  Typically, smart buyers don’t like to buy in extreme overbought conditions.

IWM:  The Bulls managed to hold their ground yesterday closing with a Doji possibly setting up for a bullish Doji continuation pattern up to the 200-day simple moving average.  IWM will need reevaluating at that level.
SMH:  The candle pattern is suggesting a possible J-Hook breakout, but I wonder if there’s enough juice to push price over the top and hold it there.
IYT:  IYT continues to act like it has two flat tires, bad spark plugs and water in its gas.
S&P VIX Short-Term Futures VXX:  The short term futures brought in some buyers yesterday and managed to print a type of bullish morning star signal that closed over the T-Line.  Keeping my eye on this chart.
