SPY: Yesterday, the buyers outweighed the sellers closing the SPY up $.61 or 29% and approximately $2.21 or 1.05% from our next swing target of $212.60.
The SPY has produced a T-Line run for the past 24 days. In 2014, there was a bullish T-Line run for 29 days. As of the close yesterday, it appears that the SPY is tuned up and running well, no visual sell signals other than it is getting extremely stretched out and overbought. Right now I’m expecting the SPY to hold its ground or even squeak out yet a higher number into the jobs report this week.
IWM: The Bulls are in control, and we are still looking for a target just under or possibly the 200-day simple moving average.
SMH: On weaker volume, SMH is trying to retest the recent highs.
IYT: Bullish Engulf and Doji continuation pattern the past five days has pushed price above the T-Line and the big three. The larger chart pattern still has challenges.
S&P VIX Short-Term Futures VXX: Still controlled by the sellers and obviously no fear as of yesterday’s close.
