SPY: It’s all about the Fed, it’s all about the Fed. Yep today will be all about what the Fed has to say on when rates will be raised in their opinion on the economy.
In the meantime, the SPY continues to be bullish as it stays above the T-Line mixed with a little bit of consolidation around the 200 simple moving average area (pretty normal). I would suspect the market will be a bit slow with light intraday chop until the Miss Janet show.
IWM: Worked hard yesterday to show that it could drag the market down with a close below the T-Line and the big 31 needs to be a bit cautious also be being below the September high shows that the Bulls have no pull.
SMH: Being in a long T-Line run and then printing a bearish evening star with follow-through suggest that the run may be a little tired.
IYT: Has the transports run on a gas? The hangman plus the Doji with a gap down follow-through is not a good sound coming out of this engine. I believe finding support above the 50 day simple moving average is needed.
S&P VIX Short-Term Futures
VXX: Still controlled by the sellers and flirting with the T-Line
